Born and raised in Chicago, Patrick Capone's musical roots go as deep as his DNA. Mom and siblings were always performing on at least one musical instrument ranging from bassoon to drums to jaw harp. "Dad wasn't a musician, but he played the radio pretty well!". Patrick's main instrument was originally the bass and by his second year in high school he was accomplished enough to earn a spot on the jazz band. As one of the top bands in the state, they would do well in competitions and clinics and even toured South Carolina and Florida. High school was also the start of Patrick's session work playing on local musicians' demos, although most went uncredited due to a common uneasiness about his age. During college, Patrick went on a musical sabbatical due to the heavy work load of balancing engineering studies, playing football, tutoring, and being a research assistant. Upon finishing college with a Biomedical Engineering degree and sore knees, one thing was clear ... music was greatly missed! Getting back on stage with various cover bands, Patrick played bass to songs ranging from Bon Jovi to Mellencamp to Scritti Politti. But Patrick was silently developing a plan and direction of his own ... he needed to break out and be a lead singer. As the other bands slowly fell apart, Patrick began to focus on singing and building proficiency on his second-hand '79 Stratocaster that had been collecting dust since high school. In 2000, Patrick started building his solo band and performed regularly for five solid years. For most of 2006, Patrick had been isolated in the studio recording and producing the debut release of the Trunk Bay Nudies entitled "The Day Is Still Young". The Nudies are a group of musicians who create a fun, rock-funk beach party.
